Nourish. Exfoliate. All skin types.

This avocado and honey scrub is suitable for all skin types. It is perfect recipe to use natural ingredients, that revitalize a dull or tired complexion, while gently exfoliating and nourishing the skin.

Avocado is highly moisturising and rich in vitamin E.

Honey has natural cleansing and soothing properties and helps to maintain healthy skin.

Rice offers a gentle exfoliating action.

Olive oil is a skin-moisturising oil that contains linolenic acid.

As always, we should only use the purest ingredients on our skin.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp avocado
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground rice / rice flour
  • 1-2 drops of essential oil (optional)

How to make. Extremely easy!

Mash the avocado in a small bowl or plate using a fork. Add the honey (should be liquid) and olive oil to avocado and mix. Add the ground rice / rice flour and mix until you have a paste. At the end one or two drops of an essential oil.

How to apply

Gently massage the scrub into clean skin with clean fingers, avoiding the eye area, but do not forget the neck. Let it sit about 3 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Pat your skin dry with a clean towel and apply an all-natural moisturizer.

Here are some suggestions of essential oils you can use in the homemade facial scrub.

  • Peppermint – with a fresh, sharp, menthol smell it cools and soothes the skin. Stimulates the circulation.
  • Geranium – has a cooling and balancing effect on the skin, making it suitable for dry or oily skin and prone to acne. Its regenerative properties help to revive tired-looking skin.

This is a basic idea to the face scrub and to get you started. You can customize this a lot of different ways. For example, use sunflower oil instead of olive oil or grounded sunflower seeds instead of ground rice.

Replace your bought skin care scrubs with something natural, personal, and well scented!
